Mission & Vision
Created in 2006 in honor of René Lacoste, the brand’s founder, Fondation Lacoste carries forward his values of sportsmanship, education, and cultural engagement. Today, the foundation works to uphold his legacy, by promoting equal opportunity and empowering young people to reach their full potential.
By using sports as a tool for social and professional integration, the foundation helps the youth access education, and bright better futures. It also supports initiatives that improve living conditions in the communities where Lacoste and its suppliers operate around the world.
Actions Led
Since its creation, the Lacoste Foundation has supported more than 100,000 beneficiaries through 250 projects led by 50 organizations across 25 countries.
In both France and internationally, Fondation Lacoste acts alongside its partners to support grassroots initiatives in the areas of sport, education, and the environment.
Its Youth Programme helps young people overcome barriers to social and professional inclusion linked to their background, origin, or disability. By using sport as a driver of empowerment, the program enables youth to break free from systemic inequalities and realize their full potential.
The foundation’s International Solidarity initiatives aim to improve living conditions in the communities where Lacoste and its partners operate. These projects, carried out by local non-profits, focus on education and vocational training, environmental protection, and social entrepreneurship.
