Donors can rest assured that their donations go to reliable, carefully approved charitable projects. Our on-staff development experts ensure that each charitable project meets our standards for responsible management and effective programs.

How we work

Friends of Fondation de France vets and monitors all projects using a 4-step process, ensuring that the programs are secure and reliable.

Step 1: Application and Due Diligence

The applying nonprofit prepares an application file with our guidance and submits it for review by Fondation de France and Friends of Fondation de France. A thorough due diligence process is conducted based on the documentation provided to confirm the organization’s credibility, governance, and financial integrity.

Step 2: Project Approval and Donor Giving

Once the project is approved by our board, U.S.-based donors may make tax-deductible gifts through Friends of Fondation de France, designating their donation to the approved organization or project.

Step 3: Fund Transfer

Friends of Fondation de France transfers the donated funds to Fondation de France, which then disburses them to the nonprofit organisation, net of applicable transaction costs.

Step 4: Impact Reporting

One year after receiving the funds, the nonprofit organization is required to submit a detailed report to Friends of Fondation de France outlining how the funds were used and the impact achieved.
