Mission & Vision

The National School of Civil Aviation (ENAC) is internationally regarded as one of the top aviation and aeronautics universities, upholding the bar for excellence in the industry. In recent years, the aviation sector has undergone significant changes, driven by various challenges such as the climate crisis, new technological integration, shifts in the international context, and the increasing demands for a safer, smarter, and more efficient system. These changes necessitate an evolution in both aviation training and careers, requiring innovation to meet the expectations of the industry and broader society.

As the aviation sector continues to pioneer new frontiers, Fondation ENAC envisions a future where the aviation industry is able to adapt to and anticipate a rapidly changing world, championing inventiveness, sustainability, and inclusivity. It aims to support and accelerate this movement, fostering a new generation of air transport professionals and maintaining ENAC’s excellence and competitiveness on a global scale, highlighting French aviation at the forefront of innovation.

Co-founded by ENAC, Airbus, and Groupe ADP, Fondation ENAC is dedicated to advancing the development of ENAC. Their mission is to enhance ENAC’s recognition, expand its national and international reach, strengthen its ties with the socio-economic world, and promote the values and model that ENAC represents.

Actions Led

Fondation ENAC leads several strategic initiatives that support aviation and aeronautics students, ensuring that ENAC remains a global leader in innovation and excellence.

Global Reach: the Foundation is committed to expanding ENAC’s international presence through the development of training programs abroad and the International Scholarship Program, which supports promising students from around the world.

Research and Education: Fondation ENAC plays a key role in advancing research and education by developing specialized Chairs that foster innovation and excellence in aviation studies.

Diversity and Inclusion: They are dedicated to increasing diversity in the aviation industry by promoting gender equality, supporting the inclusion of individuals with disabilities, and providing aid to the most vulnerable populations.

Ecological Transition: Fondation ENAC actively supports projects and initiatives related to sustainable development and the decarbonization of air transport, ensuring that the future of aviation is both innovative and environmentally responsible.

Campus Life: They enhance campus life by supporting student initiatives, entrepreneurship, organizing events, and improving campus facilities to create an enriching environment for all students and staff.

Projects that U.S. Donors Can Support

American donors have the opportunity to contribute to several impactful initiatives which will support ENAC students:

• The ENAC International Scholarship program: Supported by the ENAC Foundation since 2014, this program provides financial aid each year to ENAC engineering students to facilitate their stays abroad and, on the other hand, aid to international students wishing to join ENAC training courses.
• The Food Aid Fund: Succeeding the COVID-19 Emergency Aid Fund, the Food Aid Fund was implemented in close collaboration with ENAC social services. Food aid is allocated, via the ENAC Foundation, to students receiving scholarships based on social criteria at the highest levels, as well as to students in particularly vulnerable situations.
• Support for student initiatives and projects.
