Grant Program for Young Adults Without Family Support

Almost 15% of 18 to 25-year-olds live below the poverty line in France. Young adults are becoming financially independent much later in life due to increased pursuits of higher education and  difficulties in obtaining a first job and housing. For those without family support, this entry into adult life is even more difficult, and comes with the risk of falling into poverty. However, a little help can sometimes make a huge difference. Fondation de France awards grants to young adults aged 18 to 25 who do not have family support, to help them in their first steps of adulthood. The grant size and specifics are personalized based upon each young adult’s life plan. Grants may help to finance a driver’s license, vocational training, housing or higher education. Our objective is to support these young adults in achieving their life goals.
