The purpose of Fondation pour la Comédie-Française is to support the long-term development of Comédie-Française. Founded in 1680, it is the only State theater in France with a permanent troupe of actors – contributing to its national and international recognition. Fondation pour la Comédie-Française promotes artistic creation, sharing and dissemination of art and preservation of the heritage of Comédie-Française.

Donors to Friends of Fondation de France can support artistic creation on Comédie-Française’s three Parisian stages: Salle Richelieu, Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier and Studio-Théâtre.
