Since its creation in 2012, Fondation Crescendo con la Musica’s educational program has provided more than 4,000 underprivileged children in Mexico with musical training by qualified teachers, aiming to improve their development and prospects for a better future. In Switzerland, the Foundation also supports the training and artistic development of young musicians in the Hautes Écoles and Conservatories by granting, to date, more than 70 scholarships and by organizing educational exchanges. These young artists also have the opportunity to perform at concerts organized by the Foundation.
In September 2022 the Foundation started a new project called “Crescendo Young Swiss Artists”. This project aims to promote young musicians with exceptional talent, of Swiss nationality or having studied in Switzerland. With recording a CD in collaboration with the international label APARTE and creating a collection of audiovisual multimedia tools, this platform will allow these young people to stand out internationally and start a professional life.
Since 2016 Crescendo con la Musica has also collaborated with the “Art of Music Foundation” created by Elizabeth Njoroge in Kenya and which, like Crescendo, seeks to transform the lives of young people in disadvantaged contexts through the learning and appreciation of music in Nairobi.
