Since 2019, the Tender Nights association has been organizing Les Arènes Lyriques, a summer music season held over several weeks in the gardens of the Arènes de Montmartre in Paris. The season features open-air concerts, primarily focused on classical and operatic music, performed at twilight in an intimate, engaging setting—a signature that has earned the series its reputation.
Each year, the program brings together an exclusive ensemble of young, emerging soloists, providing them with a unique opportunity to be discovered by new audiences. Since 2025, the main season has been complemented by a program of children’s concerts designed for those who do not have the chance to go on summer vacation, in partnership with hospitals and recreational centers across the Île-de-France region.
By reimagining open-air music, promoting young artists, and expanding access for underserved audiences, Tender Nights brings the joy of live performance to all.
Tender Nights brings its mission to life through innovative programs and performances which include:
Creating a new annual music program blending classical and operatic works with other genres, including jazz, Latin American music, and popular music
Organizing 16 summer concerts in Montmartre, drawing over 5,000 spectators each year
Developing a special performance series presented six times to benefit children across Île-de-France who would otherwise miss the opportunity to attend live music events
U.S.-based donors can make tax-deductible donations to Tender Nights to support the following projects:
Les Arènes Lyriques: A series of 16 concerts in Montmartre, combining classical music and opera,
performed by young talent.
Les Arènes Lyriques des enfants: A workshop on classical music created specifically for children
who cannot go on vacation.
