RODIN

Mission & Vision

A monographic museum, the Musée Rodin contains the largest collection of the sculptor’s works at two sites, in Paris, at the Hôtel Biron and its sculpture garden, and in Meudon, site of his former home, atelier, and reserve collection. The Musée Rodin, created to preserve and disseminate Rodin’s work, is the only state-owned museum in France to be fully self-funded.

Actions Led

Every year in autumn, the Musée Rodin organizes an exhibition which invites a contemporary artist or sheds light on a specific aspect of Rodin’s work. Besides these exhibitions, the museum creates various educational projects and supports the Musée Rodin Research center.

Projects that US Donors can Support

With Friends of Fondation de France, US donors can support acquisitions of art, restorations of artwork, research pertaining to the museum’s collection and educational projects at the Musée Rodin.
