Foyer d’entraide de la Légion étrangère (FELE) is on a mission to provide unwavering support to active-duty and former foreign legionnaires and their families. FELE’s vision is simple yet profound: to ensure that no member of the Legion or their cherished ones faces adversity alone. FELE stands committed to upholding the venerable legacy of the Legion, offering not just material, administrative and financial aid, but also forging a deep sense of community and belonging.
In their relentless pursuit of this mission, FELE takes a series of resolute actions:
Material and Financial Aid: FELE extends their unwavering hand by providing essential material, administrative and financial support to foreign legionnaires and their families during their times of need. This assistance is inclusive, spanning wounded soldiers and those grappling with physical, moral or material hardships.
Social Reintegration: FELE assists foreign legionnaires encountering difficulties in reintegrating into civilian life. FELE offers them vital social support and eases their transition. Like a beacon, FELE provides them guidance through medical and social challenges.
Protection of Vulnerable Adults: In collaboration with judicial authorities, FELE ensures the protection of former foreign legionnaires who may require assistance as vulnerable adults. FELE’s commitment extends to their well-being and dignity.
Preservation of the Legion Identity: FELE is resolute in preserving and celebrating the unique identity and heritage of the Legion. FELE’s efforts encompass the management of the Foreign Legion Uniform Museum, a repository of history and pride.
FELE operates the Foreign Legion Uniform Museum located in Puyloubier, France. To make it more attractive and accessible to all visitors, FELE has launched an exciting renovation project. With their contributions, US donors can support the Foreign Legion Uniform Museum renovation project.
