The Fondation Cournot promotes research in probability, theoretical and applied, and encourages interdisciplinary work in fields where probabilistic reasoning is developed. It also supports programs that introduce probability to students, from middle school to university. To further its mission, the Fondation Cournot can also award prizes and scholarships, organize all events related to the research and educational programs, as well as documentation and publications.
