The Fondation des Amis pour le Rayonnement des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie (FARMO) supports philanthropic initiatives that promote research, education, and cultural accessibility at both the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie.
Established by the Society of Friends of the Orsay and Orangerie Museums (SAMO), under the aegis of the Fondation de France, FARMO was created to extend the impact of its mission beyond the acquisition of artworks.
FARMO’s mission is guided by a commitment to making art and culture accessible to all. This is achieved through several key initiatives:
FARMO also works closely with SAMO, which leads efforts to preserve and enrich the museums’ collections. Since its inception, the SAMO has acquired over 2,500 works of art and supported numerous restoration projects, making a significant contribution to the cultural impact of both institutions.
