The Solidaime Foundation operates on two fundamental principles: it is better to teach how to fish than to give fish away; women play a central role in the familial, social, and economic life of their environments.
The Solidaime Foundation envisions a world where all people in developing countries have full economic and social autonomy, and in which women play an active, leading role in their communities. To achieve this vision, the foundation collaborates with local organizations to implement initiatives that foster sustainable, long-term positive change for future generations.
Established in 2023, the Solidaime Foundation has launched numerous programs aimed at empowering local actors through educational and professional advancement.
Some of their initiatives include:
– Supporting a new school for entrepreneurial farmers in Madagascar;
– Participating in a program that offers women the opportunity to gain economic autonomy in the Ivory Coast;
– Financing a scholarship for 250 girls over the age of 15 in Afghanistan, while also providing equipment and internet service to a private educational center that serves 200 students, of which 140 are girls.
Through Friends of Fondation de France, U.S. donors have the opportunity to support projects in the fields of education, professional training, apprenticeship and entrepreneurship, to help people in need living in developing countries.
