Mission & Vision

The Fondation Martine Aublet was established in honour of Martine Aublet, a distinguished French art historian and cultural advocate, by Fondation de France, in close collaboration with the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac in Paris. Since its creation in 2011, the foundation has worked to promote education and appreciation of non-Western arts and cultures through various funding initiatives, notably by helping young researchers conduct field work abroad.

  • Awarding the Prix Littéraire Martine Aublet, a $10,000 literary prize granted each year to one outstanding book that contributes to the scholarship on non-Western cultures and civilizations, in the domains of ethnology, art history, and non-European history.

  • Presented 34 exhibitions at the Atelier Martine Aublet
