Suivez la Flèche is a non-profit organization based in Saint-Denis. Their mission is to rebuild the renowned North Tower and the spire of the Basilica of Saint-Denis–the first Gothic monument in history and the necropolis of the kings and queens of France–severely damaged by a storm in the mid-19th century. This exceptional project will enable the restoration of the monument’s iconic silhouette and bring back to life one of the most emblematic masterpieces of France’s architectural heritage. The organization is committed to preserving national heritage and reviving traditional craftsmanship by opening up these traditions to the public and fostering a shared sense of belonging.
Beyond the reconstruction of this iconic French landmark, they aim to shine a light on ancestral artisanal know-how and contemporary practices reinventing tradition. Their vision is to make the site a hub for learning and connection, where craftsmanship is passed on, celebrated, and brought to life through dedicated training programs and public engagement.
Upcoming Project: Starting in the Fall of 2025, they will open a new cultural venue in Saint-Denis. This space will highlight both the tangible and intangible heritage of the region, offering immersive experiences that connect history, craftsmanship, innovation, and collective memory.
